Description

The Flexible Ground Guardrail is a 200mm medium-duty ground barrier that works at floor level, in two ways. Installed on its own, it shields the floor slab, expansion joints and floor markings from wheel and fork damage. Installed together with an upright guardrail, it closes the open gap beneath the rail — the space a forklift can push its forks, tail or wheel through, which is where feet, ankles and lower legs take the hit. Because the ground rail is molded from imported high-molecular polymer and flexes on contact, it stops the vehicle before the guardrail is reached and then returns to shape. Sections run from 500mm to 3400mm in yellow and grey, with a dacromet-finished cast metal end tested to 1,000 hours of neutral salt spray.

Ground rail body:

• Imported polymer plastic with strong weather and chemical resistance; the natural-color material keeps low chemical activity, so the rail does not age or corrode.

End piece:

• One-piece casting in high-strength metal, dacromet treated and tested to 1,000 hours of neutral salt spray without rust.

Ground connection:

• Inverted-cone chemical anchor bolts with dacromet coating resist 1,000 hours of neutral salt spray, holding the rail flat against the concrete slab.

Assembly & Installation

The rail is laid along the floor line to be protected and fixed with inverted-cone chemical anchor bolts — no welding, cutting or on-site painting. Where it works under an existing guardrail, the ground rail is set directly beneath the upright barrier so the two form a continuous barrier from floor to rail, closing the gap without modifying the guardrail or the racking. Installation can be done aisle by aisle while the warehouse operates, and because the system is modular, runs can be extended, shortened or re-laid when layouts change. The recovered polymer body needs no repainting or straightening after vehicle contact.
