The Flexible End Protection-Barrier is an arcuated ground barrier designed for one specific job: protecting the end of a rack. Standing just 200mm high, it runs along the floor at the point where pallet trucks, forks and wheels strike a racking row — the base of the upright and the frame end that carries the whole load above it. Because the rail is molded from imported high-molecular polymer with an arched profile, it absorbs impact energy and springs back instead of denting, protecting the rack end without a steel post that would bend and stay bent. Sections are supplied from 480mm to 3380mm in a yellow and grey-white finish, and each end is a one-piece casting of high-strength metal with dacromet treatment, tested to 1,000 hours of neutral salt spray with no rust.

Assembly & Installation

Each barrier is laid along the rack end it protects, so the arcuated polymer rail sits at floor level in front of the upright base and frame end. Sections are anchored to the concrete floor with inverted-cone chemical anchor bolts — no welding, cutting or on-site painting, and no work on the racking itself, so installation can proceed aisle by aisle while the warehouse operates. Because the system is modular, a run can be extended or shortened when racking is reconfigured, and the recovered rail needs no attention after vehicle contact.
